Communications and privacy will always be a concern, any protocol a computer can generate can be broken, the question is how long, and how important.
If your ego about your importance in the world is justified by others, then expect them to be listening. You can only slow them down.
For the rest of us, who are meaningless, no one will take the time to break through tissue paper to listen in on us. And we are safe enough.
If you seek real security, don’t use a computer to encrypt your message, find a better way.
If it hasn’t been apparent from the start. The western nations, via their corporate masters have deemed Gaddafi is the better choice to make deals with, regarding Libyan oil. Democratic governments are too, ‘open’ to he public. So in libya, the choice was clear, let the western leaders wring their hands, talk the talk, the let the revolution fail.
Simple, every government can pat themselves on the back for saying the right thing, while declaring that their hands were tied due to a ‘catch 22‘ situation, dammed if they do, dammed if they don’t.
The real question for the United States, what if the French had chosen NOT to intervene in the American Revolution?
Bow down before your corporate (interest) masters folks. Bend over, you are being given another drilling.
The most frustrating thing about this election is the piss poor quality of the manpower. Why are Irish Politicans the the least qualified to drive a garbage truck, and totaly unqualified to do anything else. Makes you want to take the lot of them out behind the bog and shoot them.
I’m always suspicious when a company US games company sues British blogger. What is the point of elevating an obscure blogger to Internet prominence? All this law suit is doing is broadcasting the bloggers opinion further, and if the blogger’s opinions are ‘untrue’ this just makes any damages to the company worse rather than to defend their ‘reputation’.
I think they are operating under the old saw that states ‘there is no such thing as bad PR’ , or they have bribed the courts in Australia, or they are seeking a clever way to declare bankruptcy.
In any case they are seeking to destroy Internet freedom of opinion, by using the more restrictive Libel laws from another country to censor this Blogger. Why not use the Iranian courts, then they could have sought to have the Blogger put to death, or something. I’m sure the Irish Blasphemy Laws could have been used.
I almost never link to Twenty Major, more because I have no comment on what he comments on, but this posting Brian Coward is probably worthy of another award. And I could not recommend it more.
More or less I was correct, Hillary lost, while Boosting about starting more wars to defend the Jewish voters of Pennsylvania, she lost creditability. With the dirty politics she lost Honesty and with her Carl Rove political tricks and fear mongering she lost the last of her Honor. It’s too bad she never sees herself in the mirror, she will never see herself in the whitehouse again, except in her dreams.
In the current political race to the U.S. Presidency religion has become a major issue with Clinton, McCain, Huckabee, Romney and Obama, that some of them have even gone so far as to profess a disbelief in Evolution as a true measure of the religious convictions. Now one of the primary reasons politicians proudly display their religious credentials is the mistaken belief of the religiously deluded that the politician in question somehow identifies them with a higher moral standard, and therefore are more honest and trustworthy.
This couldn’t be further from the truth, as any rational person knows, the very fact that they ARE Politicians precludes any guise of honesty and trust. People who’s only desire and chosen career path is the control of other people’s lives under the rule of governmental coverage, masking as ‘leaders’ their inability to perform any other honest work. The Constitution of the U.S., and for that matter, any other country, is the basis of control of the government power, and not to control the population governed.
So the question is, why would anyone credit a politicians religion with any value? Beats me!
Bush’s friendly co-conspirator in the White House Lies and deception club has come up with something he can really sink his teeth into, The U.S. Propaganda Agency to quote;
…the United States is losing the war of ideas in the Muslim world, and the answer to that, in part, is through the creation of this new government agency
Whatever happened to the truth? If the truth isn’t there, someone will discover that it’s not the truth, and no amount of lying is going to make anyone listen to it. Mind you if you can control all sources of information (MSN, radio, TV, Internet), and either censor or block the truth, what does it matter what you say?
Radio Free Europe has been identified as one of the most useful tool to bring down the Iron curtain, on a simple principal, that even under political pressure, it would ONLY broadcast the truth.
But this administration doesn’t know the truth, to them, the truth is the enemy, and so we have what we have. A world of spin and deception.
And when we seek leaders, in our politicians, or in any person during a crisis and even even in a fellow worker in our day to day work lives. Hero’s brighten our lives, lighten our loads and renew our spirits. On the average we never seem to have enough hero’s, and we often seek them in our dreams, the theater, and on the television.
In this coming election season, the hopes and dreams of the world seek a hero in Barack, Hillary, Fred, Ron, Dennis, Mike and Al and/or any of the rest. And the goal of those politicians will be to appear to be, those hero’s, to win our hearts and minds. But hero’s aren’t heros by selling themselves, but by proving themselves, not by convincing us to trust them, but by earning our trust.
We shouldn’t be looking for the lesser of the evils, but the best hope for the future.
…and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
In Japan the politicians do remember their culture when a Japanese minister kills himself. The issues is over honor, from the cultural perspective of Japan, when someone fails to uphold the standard of honor, they are committing Seppuku as a part of their bushido code of honor.
It’s a shame more western politicians don’t abide by the code of bushido.
