It’s image analysis, perfectly possible on a number of other smart phones. Cool software though. Be great if my phone recognised that my 2 year old daughter was using it and locked out dialing.
LOL, That is only a programming issue, one that Apple is trying to patent as a facial recognition of the owner as the only authorized user. So your wish may be in route.
