Texas a hollow Victory for Hillary

Splitting the Male White vote in Texas, even winning the primary in Texas is a hollow victory as Hillary can’t win Texas in a Presidential election. It one of the Red state Republican strong holds. It, along with the other Red states might as well not count at all in a Democratic Presidential nominee. The only thing that should count is ‘Swing’ states and ‘Blue’ states, and Hillary has not won all the Blue states, let alone the Swing states. Hillary should step down, and protect the Democratic parties possibility of a Presidential win, if she takes the nomination, she will loose to McCain.

It’s that simple.

Obama to be assassinated

Or at least that is the desire of some. I’m afraid there is a massive movement of miss information underway to undermine the Obama presidential campaign. Emails and messages are being passed throughout the American South and the Bible Belt that such things as Obama being a Closet Muslin and that he intends to swear into the Presidential Office on the Koran (Quran) rather than the bible. I personally thought this was silly until I saw this video God and Politics in Lynchburg Tennessee It’s amazing the ignorance being spoken here. But the more interesting is the indications that the source of the information is an ‘information artifact’ where there is no defined source for the ‘fact’ being quoted. But the the ‘fact’ carried such emotional weigh that it is believed because it falls into one’s own belief structure. This is dangerous, as Anti Obama information carrying such emotional power, evokes powerful reactions, like assassination.

Religion and politics

In the current political race to the U.S. Presidency religion has become a major issue with Clinton, McCain, Huckabee, Romney and Obama, that some of them have even gone so far as to profess a disbelief in Evolution as a true measure of the religious convictions. Now one of the primary reasons politicians proudly display their religious credentials is the mistaken belief of the religiously deluded that the politician in question somehow identifies them with a higher moral standard, and therefore are more honest and trustworthy.

This couldn’t be further from the truth, as any rational person knows, the very fact that they ARE Politicians precludes any guise of honesty and trust. People who’s only desire and chosen career path is the control of other people’s lives under the rule of governmental coverage, masking as ‘leaders’ their inability to perform any other honest work. The Constitution of the U.S., and for that matter, any other country, is the basis of control of the government power, and not to control the population governed.

So the question is, why would anyone credit a politicians religion with any value? Beats me!

Whatever became of the truth?

Bush’s friendly co-conspirator in the White House Lies and deception club has come up with something he can really sink his teeth into, The U.S. Propaganda Agency to quote;

…the United States is losing the war of ideas in the Muslim world, and the answer to that, in part, is through the creation of this new government agency

Whatever happened to the truth? If the truth isn’t there, someone will discover that it’s not the truth, and no amount of lying is going to make anyone listen to it. Mind you if you can control all sources of information (MSN, radio, TV, Internet), and either censor or block the truth, what does it matter what you say?

Radio Free Europe has been identified as one of the most useful tool to bring down the Iron curtain, on a simple principal, that even under political pressure, it would ONLY broadcast the truth.

But this administration doesn’t know the truth, to them, the truth is the enemy, and so we have what we have. A world of spin and deception.

Something else we didn’t know, the truth.

It looks like the truth does come out, in the end, but why are we surprised when someone does a Study: False statements preceded war about something we already knew. That the President of the United States wasn’t telling the truth. Can we impeach this administration now? Does anyone doubt the need to demonstrate to the world that America CAN be trusted again, by eliminating the liars, and restoring the trust?

More fear being seeded

It looks like more fear is being seeded as Hackers Cut Cities’ Power. So, without actually naming the cities, or the methods of ‘hacking’ the CIA is now claiming without proof that there are hackers ‘outside’ the U.S. that have shutdown power to cities, and extorted money.

So, fear, is the next best thing to the truth. Tell an American audience, that rarely hears international news, that ‘cities’ have had their power shutdown by ‘Terrorist hackers’ fully expecting that population will not know any better. In most cases the CIA would be accurate, most americans don’t have a clue what is going on in the rest of the world.

Great. What next? Hackers under the bed? Terrorist boogyman hackers under every bed in America?

Hillary Didn’t win, and Obama didn’t loose New Hampshire

When Hillary declares Hillary Wins New Hampshire! don’t believe it, she tied with Obama. They both earned the same number of electors from the New Hampshire primary. But Hillary would be hurt by declaring it a tie, and it would only serve to boost Obama in the future. Talk about spin, but that is the nature of an electoral system that is fundamentally broken and corrupt.

Cheney and Bush seeding false treasonous information

There seems to be a great deal of information masquerading as fact as to the nature of the treasonous act that have been committed by the Bush/Cheney administration. This could be that the conspiracies are starting to unravel, or it could be, as in the George W. Bush military service controversy which brought down Dan Rather the ‘facts’ being seeded in the internet may be believable, but false, and might be cited along with real evidence of the impeachable offenses commited by them. These could have been planted so that they could be refuted, and with them, the real facts relating to treasonable acts, as needed, if and when impeachment hearing begin. The GOP has never hesitated to publish outright lie’s if they thought that they could spin them later to their own advantage. Why should this be any different? They are just laying the groundwork knowing that the many crimes against American Citizens and the Constitution of the United States will eventually come to light.

Truman vs Dewey ; Bertie vs Truth

In my previous post I mentioned the Truman vs Dewey election and was reminded of the slogan most associated with Truman, and how important it was in defining the man.

The Buck stops here!

It describes an era where no one wanted to take responsibility for the problems in the government. And Truman was willing to take that buck that was being passed, and step up to the responsibilities of government errors and problems.

And I was thinking about Bertie, and how the quote could be changed to reflect his apparent behavior,

The buck stops here, in my pocket.

Except that in this case we are talking about the ‘real’ Buck, the Euro, the Quid. After all, banking out of his suitcase is his defining moment.

Pattern Matching vs Prediction

I stumbled upon this article about Who Will Win the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election?. And realized that what they we claiming here was not a predictive method, but merely these people’s attempt to fit, to pattern match, ‘Presidential Electability’ factors to winners of elections. And making a half hearted attempt to apply these historical factors to up coming election. I’ll give you some examples, these are the factors they used in a previous ‘prediction’ Who Should Win the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election? they used factors like

if the candidate served as Director of Central Intelligence (e.g., George H. W. Bush), was a four- or five-star general officer in the United States Armed Forces (e.g., Dwight D. Eisenhower), or ordered the combat use of nuclear weapons (e.g., Harry S. Truman),

as you can see such ‘factors’ could only be applied to demonstrate why Truman beat Dewey, not as a general rule that proves the model.The factors used in the 2008 ‘prediction’ only suggest combinations of Presidential candidates , but can not predict them, because the factors are based on historical artifacts as part of the pattern matching, factors that can not be predicted in advance.

With that in mind there are no factors for emotional content, or future historical events.

They further go on to make this statement, We assume that major party primary voters are rational and will understand the empirical power of our algorithm. and we all know that voters for both nominees or candidates are not rational. And with a model that does not factor the level of ‘rational’ or irrationality of the electoral process, they can not forecast or predict. In other words, they can’t put their money where their mouths are.

They make another bold statement Readers of this paper could make a lot of money at Intrade.com if our assumption that major party primary voters are rational is correct. but you don’t see them making money.

The old adage is this, never take investment advice from a poor broker.

Katy French was a drug addict!

Let’s be clear here, EVERYONE knew that when she collapsed that it was drug related. Either from an overdose or due to some cheap drug dealer cutting the batch with something toxic. Katy was part of the problem, someone who appears perfect, and assumed that her partaking in illegal drug usage was her right as a celebrity. Above the law, and granted special rights. The thing is, will this lead to more celebrities being tested, of maybe minsters, lawyers and Guarda being tested. Not a chance in hell, this government is swimming in drugs it knows it, and in part, supports it, profits from it.

You will not stop the drug problem!

Until you start taking it down from the top, celebrities, minsters, lawyers and Guarda.

Guess what, you will have more luck legalizing Cocaine than arresting any of these drug users.

Government in revolt?

The Neocon’s are screaming loud and long that the NIE has been the result of Intelligence Agency personnel colluding to undermine the Bush administration policies. Now this in and of it’s self does not mean much, just politics in conflict with the facts. But if you add in the opinions of the Pentagon Chief of staff’s pronouncement a few weeks ago that they were ill equipped to start a new war with Iran in anyway, in defiance of the presidents own opinion, should give pause.

What if government bureaucracy is beginning to resist Bush policies. What if the Neocon’s are correct? What if the government is subtly in revolt from the Bush agenda? Would that give pause, and reconsideration of impeachment to Congress?

What if Bush cannot lead his own government? Very interesting….

And everything else

As we were talking about our cat, my wife mentioned; “What would we do without him”, and I replied “Everything else!” And this brought to mind an old saying that was common when I was in the Navy. “A bitchy sailor, is a happy sailor”. This is more or less what blogging is about, a place and a platform to bitch about things, and as I blog more about politicians and government, I could apply this meaningful cat dialog to my blogging. What would I do without bad politicians and rotten government, why, everything else. Governments could reform health care, cure cancer and fly to the Moon, Mars and the Stars. We could live in peace and have happier lives with our families. And I would have to find another subject to blog about. 😉
