I have been under a concerted probe of the frameset.php file. There may be a weakness here that the spammers are attempting to exploit, but as I do not have this file on my blog, I’m getting this as a ‘file not found’.
Anyone?

Looking forward to my 300th comment, someone please post something rude 😉
Why is it we can work on a cure for cancer, and haven’t got a clue about a Spam, or phishing or trackback spam? I have heard the old saw, ‘Mind the pennies, and the pounds will take care of themselves.’ so where are the pennies in spam? and how do we mind them?
I remember the first person the ‘spammed’ the internet, and he was locked out of the internet and prosecuted. I just finished up deleting my 20,000 comment spam!!!
This Friday we were informed we were paying for Eircom Broadband, no modem had arrived, and there was no disruption in service from BT. I was expecting a cutoff of service as Eircom ‘switched’ our service. It was expected as I was expecting them to transfer our ‘port’ from BT to Eircom before they started to charge us for it.
So on a lark, I reset my router to use the Eircom username password, and as easy as you please, the ip address of the router switched, and bingo, we were on Eircom. A quick change of DNS addresses and all was back to normal. Except that the domain was Eircom.
A check of the VPN connection, the primary reason for making the switch, and sure enough, a stable connection. Utilizing the same routers, wires and having made no changes to the router setting, I had a stable and useful VPN connection where BT had claimed it was my equipment.
BT, over the last few weeks, had become increasingly unstable with frequent dropouts, and performance issues. Some of this may not have been their fault, but their inability to repair and maintain, were their fault, and the response of their techies’ was unacceptable.
So now I’m Broadbanding from bigbrotherland, and strangely happy about it.
Tomorrow night at Irish Blog Awards we should have someone holding up the laurel wreath and repeating;
Anonymity can not be preserved!
Your 15 minutes are up!
Dictator President Hosni Mubarak, whom Bush called a model of democracy, has managed to put a blogger into jail Egypt blogger jailed for ‘insult’
This goes to show, great democracies do not need ‘Freedom of Speech‘ !!!
And what ever happened to Academic Freedom as well?
No freedoms = Good Democracy?
I DON’T THINK SO!
Yesterday I actually thought that the blog spam I had grown accustom to had vanished. But it’s back with a vengeance today, leading me to one conclusion, spammers, or spam zombies were on holiday during the American Presidents day. And that could only mean that the zombie machines are located in corporate America and were turned off for the holiday yesterday.
Interesting, and frightening, as that does not reflect well on corporate infrastructure, Or that spam is an American corporate business model.
UPDATE: As I suspected US responsible for most hacking
I have been seriously remiss in posting here, as I’ve been a bit too focused on myself and I apologize. The world needs my words of wisdom (like it needs a third foot to stick in it’s mouth) and I will return to my duties shortly.
In the category of ‘Dud’ with all the censorship, poor biased reporting, or just plain NO reporting on politics. How could this be surprising. Americans embrace politics online! Especially from the Mass Media in America, owned primarily by Big Business, who are the last to challenge the status quo. How would you ever hear the real facts about politics?
I’m either getting popular or NOT, depending on how you read ‘Bumped’ but in any case I look to be, in the popular ‘reality’, bumped off Cork and Irish blog aggregators. 😉
This will be interesting, testing the probagation time for a blog link 😉
Measuring the S
Daimen Blake has a Stop the Carnage Week starting today, and I wanted to add my two bits worth. This last weekend four young men lost their lives. Everyone in the government is set to blame their youth and inexperience. But I see it differently, the accident happened on a bad road, near an unmarked (no center line) section of the road, in the wee hours of the morning, coincidently just as the pubs were closing.
Let’s put it in perspective, they were drunk, underage and driving too fast on an unmarked poorly build roads, a prescription for killing anyone, not just the young. The government won’t fix the roads, or close the pubs, or enforce the drinking age, so they are forced to blame the inexperience of the drivers as a lame diversion of responsibility.
Let’s face it we all had a hand in their deaths, for not teaching responsible drinking, and NO driving, and for accepting this government’s lack of attention to social, and infrastructure issues.
It’s bad enought, the microsoft ZUNE player that is, now they have resorted to using spam to try and generate a marketplace for a machine that has no market. Very funny.
I’m not sure but I feel discriminated against, technorati.com claims I have not posted in 97 days. Not true, but even when I force ping it at it’s own website, it does not update me. The real question is this, is technorati.com censoring political blog sites? Though I’m not much of a threat, but did someone blacklist me? Feedster Interesting!
