As I predicted Hillary has the fewest friends on Digg Candidates. I know that Hillary can’t win, so the Democrats will have to find someone who can.
As I predicted Hillary has the fewest friends on Digg Candidates. I know that Hillary can’t win, so the Democrats will have to find someone who can.
I have not predicted the race, but I am now concerned that the balance on Democrats in the House and Senate will not reach the goal of two thirds majority, veto override power, in Congress. With Hillary looking to win the democratic nomination and loosing the Presidential race to ANY GOP NOMINEE. Congress will have to buck-up and grow some in a genuine effort to bring the U.S. back into a Constitutional Checks and Balances which forms the foundation of the Republic.
This GOP win shouldn’t happen, but Hillary is tainted by real or illusionary propaganda that the republicans have been seeding for years. And because she holds the largest bag of money, she could buy her own nomination. But in an article earlier this month, she would need to pull 24% of the female REPUBLICAN voters, and I don’t believe that she could pull 24% of the female DEMOCRATIC vote. She just can’t win, in fact I’m sure the democratic party heads know she can’t win. I suspect that they don’t want to win the presidential race and face the albatross that Iraq has become.
So, unless Al Gore throws his hat into the ring, or gets drafted (and maybe linked with Edwards as Vice President) the Democrats will loose the Presidential race.
The real goal for the Democrats will be to blast the Republicans out of the House and Senate.
Seems that FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) has been testing the waters for the Bush Administration as to the viability of not just faking the information, but of faking the entire news reporting. In this apology FEMA sorry for fake news briefing the appearance is of this being an “error in judgment” is yet another attempt to fake the news, one that was discovered, and brought to light. But this was a test balloon, by an agency which has no more creditability to loose, and thus did not have anything to loose when attempting this deception. Only the tip of the iceberg, wait for more attempts in the future.
I’m reposting an email I received from MoveOn.org this morning (the contents of which I mostly agree with).
Dear MoveOn member,
To be honest, I don’t even like to think about the possibility of war with Iran. But here’s the unfortunate truth—plans for an aerial attack have been drawn up.1 There’s nothing stopping Bush from launching that attack any day. And right now the progressive movement’s main strategy for preventing it is simply to hope that it doesn’t happen.
To paraphrase my ninth-grade sex-ed teacher, “Hope is not a method.” We need to do something. There are increasing indications that war with Iran may be imminent. And experts agree it would be a catastrophe.
So today we’re proposing a major campaign to expose the danger of a new war with Iran (see below for details). It’ll cost about $200,000, and if we can raise the money, we’ll start today. Can you chip in $25?
https://pol.moveon.org/donate/irandonate.html?id=11491-3984041-9M7Z8C&t=2
War would be a disaster. Military officials who’ve gamed-out a war with Iran say it’s a very, very bad idea. “Iran would hit back against US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan and activate terrorist allies in the Middle East, further destabilizing a region already struggling with two major wars.”2 US troops in the region, Israelis and American civilians abroad and at home would all be at risk.
And it’s a real possibility. For months, there’s been a stream of leaks and revelations by former Bush administration officials that paint a scary picture: Vice President Cheney and the neocons are quietly maneuvering us toward war with Iran—just as they did with Iraq.3,4
Now, the New York Times reports that Freedom’s Watch, a $200 million propaganda machine headed by former White House insiders, has started to press for an attack.5,6 And this past week, Bush and Cheney upped the ante with aggressive statements, even invoking the specter of “World War III.”7
Observers across the political spectrum, from Senator John McCain to former Middle East envoy Dennis Ross, say the threat is closer than it appears.8,9 And it’s never a good idea to underestimate this president’s capacity for recklessness.
We can’t run the risk that they’re crazy enough to do it. That’s why it’s so important that we make sure policymakers understand the cost of war, and we pressure Congress not to roll over on Iran. If we can raise the money today, here’s what we’ll do:
A number of top retired generals and military experts are willing to say publicly that attacking Iran would be a strategic disaster. We’ll put them on tour to speak to political leaders, editorial boards and big audiences.
We’ll run ads challenging the Bush administration and key presidential candidates—and remind people that the last time we heard many of these phony arguments was in the lead-up to war with Iraq.
We’ll commission polling to show wavering politicians that if they stand up against war with Iran, the public will stand with them.
We’ll run a major grassroots campaign urging Congress to confront the administration on Iran.
None of us know how likely a strike against Iran really is. But I’m going to do more than just hope it doesn’t happen. The signs and signals have become too glaring. We have to act. Please join in launching this campaign:

There have been a few leaders and organizations within the progressive movement who’ve consistently sounded the alarm on this issue. Now it’s time for the rest of us to join them.
Thanks for all you do,

Well now I know where Osama Bin Laden receives his finances, The Republican Party as Bin Laden says US should convert! This is the best Republican GOP propaganda that money can buy. Talk about a promotion for their War Everlasting campaign. Wow, it’s no wonder that Bush let Osama Bin Laden’s family leave the country after September 11, he was sending his employees on a holiday.
UPDATE: This Latest Bin Laden Video Is a Forgery, well it did seem too good to be true. Besides it was a bit vain of Bin Laden to dye his beard the shade it was several years ago.
One torturer down as, Chief Torture Architect Resigns Embattled Attorney General Resigns. Now just George Bush, and Dick Cheney are left. Once the U.S. is rid of these criminals, then American can begin to reclaim their honor.
Karl Rove hasn’t Left yet.
There is a story circulating in the ether that Alberto Gonzales has resigned as of Friday. with the odds going up here it looks like a sure bet he’s gone.
This looks like great news if it’s true.
I’m going to warmup my crystal ball and predict the presidential outcomes for the U.S. elections. But I’m not going to be politically correct.
Hillary Clinton is a sure bet to be nominated to be the Democratic candidate. But she can’t be elected to President in a general election, and will loose to ANY GOP candidate. Not because she is a woman, but because the GOP has been poisoning the internet with anti Hillary propaganda for years with ‘she kicked the dog’ stories. There is an outside possibility she could be a vice-presidential running mate, but I don’t think she would like the second seat.
Barack Obama looks to be a good Democratic nominee. But he will loose to ANY GOP candidate. He will not be elected by the U.S. population, being black will not be too much of a hinderance, but not an asset, being raised Muslim will be brought up, and September 11 will be on everyones mind. Unfortunately Obama could prevent a democratic presidency even if nominated as a vice-presidential candidate.
Al Gore is the strongest Democratic candidate, but he has not even declared, and due to internal political infighting he probably won’t get the nomination even having won the majority popular vote in 2004, loosing to George Bush only due to illegal vote rigging in Florida by Jeb Bush, brother of the
thiefpresident.
John Edwards would make a good running mate. But no one knows him as a presidential candidate.
Colin Powell would make a great democratic vice-presidential candidate, but he may be too tainted by Bush to be of great value.
Unfortunately the other potential candidates will only be potential vice running mates and nothing more.
The next prophecy I cast will be the GOP candidates
I was just thinking, if everyone using the internet, would include just one encripted message in one email per day, then that would just about crash every computer at the NSA. Wouldn’t that be fun. Then we can see just how much funding for new computers they ask for in next years budget.
This quote tells me one thing,
“We look upon authority too often and focus over and over again, for 30 or 40 or 50 years, as if there is something wrong with authority. We see only the oppressive side of authority. Maybe it comes out of our history and our background. What we don’t see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do,” – Rudy Giuliani, March 1994.
Rudy Giuliani was born in a different America, one radically different, from the one I was born in. This brings great dread to me because if this is what the current leadership of the U.S. believes, we are all in grave danger of a dictatorship placed in-charge of the the most powerful nation on the planet.
This article is a sure sign that warrant-less spying pays off as, Bush Signs Law to Widen Reach for Wiretapping. This reeks of the smell of blackmail, from all the Democrats caught dirty, or at least with their hands in the cookie jar. We all want to believe that most politicians we elect are honest, but in reality everyone has something to hide. And Bush pulled them all out of the closet to grant himself more imperial powers. Rather than grow a spine, and call Bush’s bluff, they gave up the constitution, that ‘Dammed piece of paper’ so he could wipe his arse with it. Come the next election, time to clean house, and senate of the crap politicians who have no idea who pay’s their wages.
If the obvious has not yet been demonstrated clearly, then Bush not ruling out Libby pardon should come as no surprise.
But from here on out all crimes done by Bush Administration Politicians are now above the reach of the law.
It’s no wonder that the Taoiseach Bertie and President Bush are such great friends. They both believe that the ruling class do not observer the same laws as common folks.
In Japan the politicians do remember their culture when a Japanese minister kills himself. The issues is over honor, from the cultural perspective of Japan, when someone fails to uphold the standard of honor, they are committing Seppuku as a part of their bushido code of honor.
It’s a shame more western politicians don’t abide by the code of bushido.
Having watched one of my favorite movies, The American President a movie I usually cry over, with a feeling of pride and honor. I realized that at no time in resent memory could I ever express such Pride and Honor over a real politician. With the gross lack of any real Honor, Respect and Pride in our current crop of standing politicians, I crave more, I want to respect my elected leadership, I want them to represent Honor, Humility and Pride in me as a citizen as I would have in them. I hope that my fellow Irish citizens feel that way also, that tomorrow they will go to the polls and vote for the persons they most Respect, not because they are clever, witty or jolly. But because they represent Honor, Respect and Trust, who will do the right thing for us, not just for themselves. To be Strong and Truthful, believing in us as much as we believe in ourselves. Deep in the Irish spirit there is that Honor, and there is that Pride, we can do better, we have earned that right. We are free by our own hand, and we require the respect that brings, and we require that our political leaders represent to the world that pride, and honor we have in ourselves.
Do you know why a Politician is like a good pint?
After you fill the pint with brown stuff, it starts to empty.
After you slip the politician the brown envelope, it starts to empty.
and you just can’t keep either of them filled up 😉
