A change in Terminology, an insurgent is now a Rebel.

While not surprising the BBC’s change in terminology is interesting. The insurgency in Iraq is now being called a Rebellion. Iraqi rebels ‘holding US troops’ Does that mean we have to respect them?

Has anyone gotten that message in the U.S.?

You’re not supposed to respect them until they’re upgraded to freedom-fighters.

Ben Franklin has a good quote,
“Rebellions are always legal in the first person, ‘Our rebellion’,
it’s only illegal in the third person, ‘Their Rebellion’ “
